Lower-level living space created from scratch in the Central Richmond, San Francisco. What began as a garage and crawl space became a full new floor: North Bay Construction excavated down roughly eight feet beneath the existing house, then built a new bedroom, bathroom, closets, and living area with a mezzanine overlooking it all. A custom curved balcony rail ties the levels together. This was our first mezzanine build and remains one of the most dramatic before-and-after transformations in our San Francisco portfolio.
